You've probably already heard about the legendary fishing on Lake of the Woods. Sabaskong Bay on Lake of the Woods has long been recognized as one of the world's premier muskie fishing locations. The many islands create infinite opportunities to fish on rock reefs, sandy beaches, weedy bays or steep shorelines. Other prominent species incude walleye, northern, bass, crappie and lake trout. On a remote island in the midst of this is Duck Bay Lodge. We are perfectly situated on Hay Island in the middle of Sabaskong Bay, in the remote south-east corner of Lake of the Woods. Our American Plan resort features six modern lakefront cabins with private baths, new boats and motors, all meals and recreational activities. To ensure your comfort, our boats are 18-foot Lund Outfitters with 40 hp motors. They come complete with flat carpeted floor, padded pedestal seats, depth finders, bow-mount trolling motor and live well. Hearty home-cooked meals are prepared with care and served family style in the main lodge overlooking the bay. They feature a wide variety of specialties such as baby back ribs with home-made barbeque sauce, chocolate bourbon pecan pie and fresh baked bread. Our policy of accepting no more than 26 guests at any time assures you of attentive personal service. If you prefer just a quiet get-away, let our remote island location rejuvenate your spirit. Get back to nature and fill your days with hiking, canoeing, bird watching, photography or just plain relaxing. We invite you to experience our warm hospitality in the Canadian wilderness. Pets welcome. Other amenities include: guide service, recreation hall with a library, satellite television, cards and games, sauna, canoeing, hiking trails and meeting room available for small corporate groups. MasterCard/Visa accepted.
